Installed an Eastern Beaver PC-8 with CRF100L specific wire harness today.

Quality is top notch and incredibly fast delivery from Japan.

I think it came out pretty neat. KIMG0054.JPG

Wish I had taken pictures during the install! I don't have much to add to the detailed installation directions that Eastern Beaver provides.

The install would have been easier if I had removed the left hand SW-Motech crashbar first.

I will be installing one of these alright.
Easy enough to wire an accessory socket upfront if needed but the heated jacket and future radios will need this more solid platform.
How have you found the channelling of wiring to the front of the bike, if attempted?

Haven't ran wire from the front of the AT back to the PC-8 yet, but will be in the next couple of days, installing a dual USB plug in the accessory dash socket and running wire for GPS.

The wiring is easy to run under the left plastic cover that runs along the bottom of the gas tank and then following existing wires once you get behind the fairing. I ran some 16 AWG wire through heat-shrink tubing (but didn't shrink it) to protect the wire from chafing. The PC-8 is brilliant, good choice.

Hi guys. I want to do something similar. Powering a home made fuse block, via a relay, from the under seat 6 way connector. Basically that will give me switched power to my relay and fuseblock. All devices will then in turn run back to my switched fuseblock and get power. So I have now seen this connector that plugs into the 6 way connector (and price is negligible) but just wondering why they offer both female and male parts of the connector, if the 6 way is already connected. Surely I only need the second part (I assume male) to wire my relay to. Or am I missing something obvious ? http://ruggedroads.co.uk/epages/00c...-5d1c-407e-8207-580e14387ec5/Products/SU6P090

I would imagine that's how they come from the supplier. Not specifically for what you want it for but a waterproof connector which can be spliced into the loom. It is the male side you need assuming you're going to plug into the empty alarm socket under the passenger seat. Am I right in assuming the white wire to this socket is the switched power?

There are two choices. One is switched live, the other is permanently live. Not sure of colours but i have a video link somewhere detailing the install of the connector
