Ordered a set of Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs today to replace my much beloved MotoZ Tractionator GPS tires. The MotoZ have aroun 8,000 miles on them and could go another 1,000 miles but I'm replacing them because I'm going on a 2,000-2,500 unexpected trip in a couple of weeks! :) This trip is going to be highway slab and lots of Ozarks twisty roads...wanted new tires for the event.

This tires look good on paper but we'll see how well they stack up against the MotoZ.

I will post pics after the install.

I’ve got these tyres, done about 800 miles on them and really like them now. All road miles so can’t vouch for there Offroad capabilities, but very happy with them. Look forward to hearing how you get on with them, enjoy your trip away.

Nice! Let us know how they do in mixed use. I've also heard they are really good on the road. I'd like to know how they do in gravel and dirt on our bike. 8,000 miles for the Motoz is excellent.

I'll be sure and post about my experience with the tires. I hope they're decent on gravel, I live in farm country and ride LOTS of it.

Just picked up another set of Big Blocks for my trip, don’t really like the front on road but opted for the off road traction I’ve grown to rely on. I was going to try the Shinko 805/4 combo but ended up going with what I know.

I'm going to try their other rally tire the MT21 Rally on the bike. Put it on the other day. See how long it lasts. I have to say the Mitas E12 that was on for the previous 6,500 kilometres is one of my favorite tires so far (on and offroad), and cheaper than the STR.

One of the great things about the AT is all the tire choices!

Coming from the NC700X it's great to be spoiled for a choice.

You're right, although it was slim pickens at first, glad KTM jumped on the 150/70 bandwagon.

Initial impressions of the STRs is very favorable! Took the long way home about 20 miles of gravel and they handled it with flying colors! Very impressed. :)

Today I rode them 70 miles on the highway, they have a different noise than the MotoZ GPSs kind of a chirping and seem a little quicker to turn in, but I am running then at stock air pressures.

Going on a camping trip tomorrow with my girlfriend, will report back after a few hundred miles.
